Business Summary
ASP Defence Support Services began in 2002 as the Western Australia office of ASP Ship Management, located in Rockingham. ASP managed the Royal Australian Navy's auxiliary oiler, HMAS WESTRALIA, before tendering for and winning the In-Service Support Contract for her replacement, HMAS SIRIUS. ASP Defence Support Services brings a wealth of commercial engineering management experience and combines it with a deep understanding of the requirements of Defence, with a very strong safety focus.
About Us

In 1991, Australian National Line and Associated Steamships formed a joint venture, which saw the beginnings of ASP Ship Management.

The acquisition in 1997 by the current major shareholder was the catalyst to take what was purely an Australian Ship Management business and developed ASP into what it is today, a Global Third Party Ship Manager and Maritime Service Solutions provider, with fully established and owned operating offices and crew management offices in Europe, Indian Sub-Continent, Asia and Australasia.

The ASP Group provides a complete range of integrated Maritime Service Solutions to a long-standing and reputable client base. These services include the traditional 3rd Party Technical Ship Management Services and Crew Management Services, employing over 200 highly skilled shore based staff and some 2500 seafarers with skill sets equipped to service our diverse fleet portfolio from Tanker, Bulk Carrier, Container, Offshore and other ship types.
