Bolga Court Hostel

Bolga Courtis located in Lakeview Drive, Tallangatta, with magnificent views over Lake Hume and the rolling hillside beyond.

Bolga Courtwas opened for residential living in April 1991, and is an approved service provider by Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing from which we receive funding.

Our secure complex has 6 Modules consisting of high and low care with each Module consisting of 6 rooms of bedroom and ensuite with a kitchen/dining, lounge room and laundry which are shared. The front row of 3 Modules and the Community Building, enjoy an uninterrupted view over the lake with the rear Modules affording a view between, and over, the front buildings.

Tallangatta Health Service is a public based facility with an acute ward offering a range of hospital type services to the local community.

The ward has 15 beds and services include:

• Care for medical conditions, and post operative care for those recovering from operations undertaken elsewhere.
• Patients can elect to be treated as a private patient, dept of veteran affairs or public patient.

Accommodation is provided in a range of single or twin rooms with shared ensuite facilities.

Palliative care can also be provided for those people who are in the final phase of a life threatening illness.

Medical practitioners visit the facility on a regular basis and also provide care within the facility's medical centre.

Respite Care provision is offered at Bolga Court. This service is one of popularity and it is advised that early contact be made to the Manager should you be requiring Respite Care.

Our Respite room, which is fully furnished, is situated in the Module and is in the company of five permanent residents.

Full services are provided to the need of the client's request.

A daily fee is charged that is not covered by Private Health Insurance or Medicare. An Information Package is available and can be posted, or collected, by contacting the Facility.

Tallangatta Health Service offers high quality residential aged care services through their high care nursing home, Lakeview Nursing Home. Our nursing home has 15 high care beds. Most rooms are shared with one other resident. Each room has its own ensuite.

Lakeview Nursing Home has a dining room and kitchen which has access to a balcony overlooking Lake Hume.

There is a separate lounge room and visitor’s room. The courtyard is easily accessed by residents and family wishing to visit outside.

Tallangatta Health Service has a holistic approach to care for residents and has adopted the use of values to maintain a close link to home life for residents, including pets, indoor plants, cooking, crafts and outings.

The Tallangatta Medical Centre is accredited under the Royal Australian College of General Practice Standards through AGPAL. The centre is co-located at the Tallangatta Health Service site. Parking is available in the centre car park at the front of the Medical Centre or on Barree Street. Disabled parking is available in front of the Medical Centre entrance.

Disabled parking is available in front of the Medical Centre entrance. The team at the Medical Centre are employed by the Tallangatta Health Service (THS) and consists of Doctors, Practice Manager, Practice Nurse, Diabetes Educator, Women's Health Nurse and Reception staff.
