Border Bandag Tyre service is a local family business that was founded in Albury in 1984. Originally our business was built on servicing the needs of the growing transport industry in Albury-Wodonga. Over time we grew a reputation for expert advice on a wide range of products and quality service.

In the early 90’s we decided to expand, we started to develop the retail side of our business. We saw an opportunity to supply and service the local 4WD community in and around Albury-Wodonga. With brands like BFGoodrich, Yokohoma GT Radial and Simex we had a product in our range to suit every driver’s individual need. We have had a long association with the Albury-Wodonga 4WD club and over the past decade there support and feedback on our range has helped us make better tyre choices based on what the people who use the tyres tell us.

Being an independent local business we are not aligned with any one particular multinational brand, we believe that his gives us more flexibility and choice when offering you the customer a tyre that will suit your driving needs and budget.

We have now grown to be the largest tyre service between Sydney and Melbourne, which means we enjoy national buying pricing on our range of tyres and wheels so we can remain competitive in the local market place and pass the savings onto our customers.

In July 2008 Graeme Edgar took over the family business from his parents Ken and Heather. Graeme has for many years been an active member of the Albury community being Vice President of the Commercial Club, member of the Albury Football Club, St Pats School board member, actively involved with Albury Junior Basketball and football and the Albury Tennis Association.

Border Bandag Tyre Service now employs 18 local people and this is made possible by the continued support of our local community, we are now committed to providing Albury-Wodonga with the highest level of quality service and product range on wheels, tyres and now front-end mechanical work.
