About Us

Who is Evoenergy

On 1 January 2018, the part of ActewAGL that operates and maintains our ACT electricity and gas network changed its name to Evoenergy.

The name Evoenergy reflects the evolution of our business, to embrace new technologies that put you, our customers, at the centre of everything we do.

Who owns Evoenergy

Evoenergy is the name used by the electricity poles and wires, and gas pipes business and is part of the ActewAGL Distribution partnership.

ActewAGL was originally set up in October 2000 when the Australian Gas Light Company (AGL) and Icon Water Limited (formerly ACTEWCorporation), an ACT Government owned corporation, entered into Australia's first utilityjoint venture.

Our focus

We deliver safe and reliable energy to Canberra and the region. We own and operate 2,358 square kilometres of electricity network and over 4,563 kilometres of gas mains.

We supply electricity to over 200,000 residential and business customers across the ACT and 146,000 gas customers in the ACT and NSW.

Safety, reliability, dependability, trust and certainty are the qualities that matter most to us, along with a commitment to innovation andkeeping ahead of the rapidly changing energy landscape.

We want to give our customers the energy solutions they want by being agile and driving innovation and technology to meet their changing needs.

Please note, your energy retailer is responsible for managing your account, including billing you for your energy use, and for organising connections, disconnections and new meter requests.

What We Do

Evoenergy owns and operates the ACT electricity network, and the gas networks in the ACT, Queanbeyan, Jerrabomberra, Bungendore and Nowra. This includes:
