A Distributor & Importer To The Retail & Trade Outlets Of Timber & Building Supplies / Garden Supplies / Nurseries Since 1988 Fairbanks has been a distributor and importer to the manufacturing, retail & trade outlets throughout Victoria. As a distributor many manufacturers have engaged our services to promote their products to the independent retails and trades outlets. Due to pricing pressures we import many products direct from overseas factories to offer our customers competive pricing. This range of imported products is expanding as our business grows. Fairbanks began the wholesale business with lawn seed, fertilizers and garden chemicals in the late 70's. The current owner purchased the wholesale business in December 1988 and has continued with this range, introducing hardware & building products.

As a supplier to the retail market, Fairbanks does not trade directly with the general public. Public enquiries will be directed to our nearest retail outlet.

Merbau or Kwila is a very durable and termite-resistant timber, making it a highly valued and popular decking timber material and has a long life in above ground applications. Merbau can contain a "gold" fleck that runs through the grain, which is considered to be attractive by some. Sapwood is well-defined and pale yellow in colour.
