We are a Catholic school committed to assisting parents in the education of children within a Christian community. Pastoral care and religious education are an integral part of the curriculum and vital aspects of our school's life.
St. Thomas More is one of the Parish Schools of Elizabeth North and serves the developing areas of Munno Para/Smithfield.
Today we have over 350 from reception to Year 7.
From its beginnings parents have played an important role in the development of the school and we are fortunate that our parents recognise their involvement in the school as a commitment to the community.
Services We Offer
St. Thomas More School is here primarily for the nurture of the baptismal faith of the children of parishioners. This nurture involves appropriate formation through prayer, study, liturgy, community building and other practices, which are characteristic of the Catholic church.
The school's religious education program is seen as supplementary to the faith life and the worship practices of the child's family. Infant baptism is presumed, and Sunday mass, sacramental reception and prayer at home is expected as a commitment from the family. Without such practice the lessons given by teachers will remain purely academic.
